Next you take a short drive to the Snagov Monastery which is believed to be the resting place of the body of Vlad the Impaler, better known as Dracula. The monastery itself is on an island in the middle of the Snagov Lake offering great views over the surrounding area.

The Snagov Monastery is located on an island connected to the main land by a rather new bridge. Being built in the 14th century, is believed to be the final resting place of the famous Vlad the Impaler (Dracula). While you are there, don’t miss the structure of the old prison in the back of the church dating back from Vlad the Impaler’s time.
One of the most beautiful palaces next to Bucharest is sure to amaze by the interesting Romanian architecture, the setting and the redone interiors.
